Passport Services Hours

The Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library provides passport application services for the following days and times*:

  • Monday: 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • Tuesday: 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • Wednesday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday: 9:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm
  • Sunday: Services not available




*Except holidays and other library closures. Appointments are not required, but please be aware that occasionally staff certified to process applications will be unavailable due to illness, vacation, or other responsibilities. We do our best to keep this to a minimum, but to minimize any potential inconvenience, we recommend calling ahead (207) 764-2571 if you wish to be sure an agent will be available.

**Alternate sites for passport application processing are:

  • United States Post Office (Mon-Fri, 9 am – 2 pm)
  • Northern Maine Community College Library (Mon-Fri by appointment 207.768-2734)

What you need to bring:

1.  Evidence of citizenship (birth certificate with embossed seal and the filing date of birth, naturalization certificate or your latest valid passport.)

2.  Two identical photos 2″ x 2″ taken within the last 6 months. Photos may be obtained at:

  • Walmart
  • Rite Aid
  • Goin’ Postal
  • Sears

3.  Valid driver’s license or military ID or state ID

Passport Application Fees:

Book:

  • Book is $110 for adults and $80 for minors

Card:

(The passport card is valid for land border travel and sea points of entry for Canada, Caribbean, and Bermuda only)

  • Card is $30 for adults and $15 for minors

Payment of check or money order for both books or cards is made out to Department of State. There is an additional execution fee of $25 per person payable in cash, check, or money order to Turner Memorial Library.

Complete passport services (including photos) are available at the Presque Isle U.S. Post Office on Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2 pm.
