Reference Services

Welcome to the Reference Department!  In addition to the usual dictionary, atlases, encylopaedias and digests one might expect to find, Turner Memorial’s Reference section also houses a Foundation Center Cooperating Collection of grant resources, USA passport application acceptance services, State of Maine notary services, genealogy resources and a vast collection of Presque Isle and surrounding area historical texts and memorabilia.  Requests for books from other libraries’ collections are also processed through Reference via Inter-Library Loan (ILL) services.  Requests for Reference assistance are warmly welcomed by telephone, mail, e-mail, social networking, instant messenger or walk-in.
