DESCRIPTION:Needle-Felted Landscapes Workshop – Tuesday\, September 17 from 9:30AM – 12PM \nThis workshop will enable you to explore the creative process of needle felting with the aim of completing your own small (5” x7”) needle felted landscape. \nIf you have a special photograph of a simple landscape (or find one you like on the internet) to use as inspiration\, bring it along!  Sunrises\, sunsets\, seascapes\, or any landscape that does not include too many elements are good choices for beginning with. \nAll materials and supplies will be provided.  No experience is necessary.  Children 10 and older are welcome\, as long as accompanied by an adult workshop participant.  Darcy will have additional photographs to work from as well.  If you have a needle felting foam\, wool\, or sponge type pad to work on\, please bring it to the workshop. \n-$20 per attendee-

Fetter is a nature photographer living in Mercer\, WI.  Her work can also be seen online at www.alinefetterphoto.com. \nInspired by her passion for nature\, Fetter’s images capture its ever-changing kaleidoscope of colors\, unique patterns\, rich textures and an abundance of flora and fauna. “The North Woods has has such diversity\, from subtle beauty and reflective moods to exuberant scenes and lively moments” she says. “I use my camera to celebrate nature as it is written in light.”

DESCRIPTION:Warren Nelsen Concert \nThe Friends of the Presque Isle Community Library are excited to announce a free concert\, featuring well-known Bayfield musician and song-writer Warren Nelson\, founder of the Big Top Chautauqua\, and including vocalists Ed Willet on cello and Rowan Nelson-Ferris on banjo and guitar. \nPlease join us on Wednesday\, June 15th\, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the pavilion and parking lot behind the Presque Isle Library.   Chairs will be available\, but you may also bring your own.    In case of bad weather\, the concert will be moved into the Presque Isle Community Center\, with first come/first served seating. \nThanks to a generous bequest from the estate of benefactor Jackie Bassett\, the concert will be free for all.    For more information\, please call the library at 715-686-7613.
