Art in the Library

July 2024 Art in the Library – Polly Sievert

Nurtured by Nature: A Journey in Textures

This exhibit is a reflection and an artistic interpretation of Polly Sievert’s frequent time in nature in the Northwoods.

The art is rich in textures, emulating those found in nature…like a portal to nature.

This is more than an art exhibit – it’s an experiential journey into the practice of forest bathing.

What is forest bathing? It is the practice of focusing on one or more of one’s senses while in nature to help to calm the mind, body, and spirit.  Come visit the exhibit to learn more.

The exhibit runs from July 2 – July 30 at the Presque Isle Community Library. There will be 3 Artist Talks and an Introduction to Forest Bathing Workshop in the month of July at the library in conjunction with the exhibit.
