During the months of September and October, we welcome photographer Shannon Brimmer to the Presque Isle Library!

Hi Neighbors! I’m Shannon. In May of 2023, my husband and I moved to Northern Wisconsin from busy Austin, TX. I have family roots here and spent much of my childhood summers on Bills Lake in Lac du Flambeau. I have always loved the serenity and beauty of the the North Woods of Wisconsin and am thrilled to be here full time. I am inspired by it!

I try to spend time everyday on the lake in my kayak or canoe. I love photographing the wildlife and beautiful scenery. It’s always changing and gives new meaning to “a new day”. Much of my art on this page is from “the Lake”, Northern Wisconsin or Upper Peninsula Michigan although my camera isn’t ever very far from me so you never know where I might capture something beautiful.
